Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe has a small holding of music which is used extensively by teachers and students. Old exam music books are particularly sought after but all sheet music is valuable and is catalogued and stored by us for the use of all the students.

We are also fortunate to have in our collection the O’Meallain Library which was donated to the school when we opened. It is a precious and rare glimpse into Galway life from the middle of the 20th century when Father O Meallain managed to galvanise a full orchestra from passionate amateurs in the city and furnished this orchestra with a substantial range of musical scores.

Books and scores can be offered at any time to students of the school, and we will ensure that we always have a ready supply of material for all young players.
