The Lifes2Good trust is the brainchild of James and Maria Murphy – an organisation devoted to philanthropic work in Galway and beyond. In 2019, discussions began with Lifes2Good to see what possibilities might emerge from a donation to Maoin Cheoil na Gaillimhe.

We are very fortunate to announce that this fund is now in place to facilitate with the expansion of the school into the heart of communities across the city of Galway. Hundreds of children who would not have had access to a musical education will now do so, thanks to the exceptional work of the Murphy’s in this area, and their legacy is something we are proud and humbled to be a part of.

We are hopeful that the inspirational nature of their work will not be lost on corporate Galway, and that they will see the excellent opportunity this fund presents. By linking with other corporations and business in each community, we want to see real lasting change, in this, the national city of the arts.
